The Moon tarot card meaning

What the card shows
A full moon with a face, set inside a sun, hangs over a winding path. A dog and a wolf howl up at it from either side, and a crayfish crawls out of a pool in the foreground. The path runs between two towers towards distant hills. Drops fall from the moon, and it is hard to tell how far away anything is.
The Moon upright
The Moon is the card of uncertainty: a situation where you cannot see clearly, and where fears and imagination fill the gaps. It is not a sign of deceit, though it can be. Upright, it asks you to move carefully, trust your instincts and avoid big conclusions until there is more light. Not everything that looks threatening in the dark is a threat.
Keywords: uncertainty, intuition, dreams, illusion
The Moon reversed
Reversed, the fog is starting to lift. Something unclear becomes clearer, a fear turns out smaller than it seemed, or a truth you half knew comes to the surface. It can also describe anxiety that has been carried for a while and is ready to be looked at directly. The card suggests naming the fear, which tends to shrink it.
Keywords: confusion lifting, a truth surfacing, fear released
In love
In love, The Moon describes uncertainty: mixed signals, unspoken worries, or old fears cast onto someone new. It favours asking rather than guessing. Reversed, it points at clarity arriving, and suggests trusting what you can now see.
At work
At work, this card suits situations where information is incomplete or people's motives are unclear. It favours checking facts and getting things in writing. Reversed, it can describe confusion clearing, and a good moment to ask the question you were unsure how to put.
When you are deciding
When deciding, The Moon suggests waiting for better information if you can. If you cannot, list what you actually know apart from what you fear. Decide on the first list, and keep an eye on the second.
